Yorkdale Shopping Centre is more than one of Canada’s premier shopping destinations. It is a major economic driver that supports thousands of jobs, attracts millions of visitors each year, and creates opportunities for businesses to grow right here in Eglinton–Lawrence.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Yorkdale Shopping Centre with Michael Renaud, Director and General Manager, for a behind-the-scenes look at the operations that help make this remarkable destination a success. From its hundreds of retailers and restaurants to the dedicated people who work there every day, Yorkdale continues to play an important role in strengthening our local economy and supporting communities across Ontario.
Our government is also providing retailers with greater flexibility by allowing businesses to open on certain statutory holidays while maintaining important protections for workers. These changes will help major retail destinations like Yorkdale better serve customers, support local businesses, create jobs, and contribute to Ontario’s continued economic growth.
