L’Ontario investit 16 millions de dollars pour aider les petites communautés et les communautés rurales à bénéficier de transports en commun sûrs et fiables
Today, PA Bresee on behalf of Minister Sarkaria, announced our government is investing nearly $16 million through the Ontario Transit Investment Fund (OTIF) to help small and remote communities build safe and reliable transit services. This investment will support five projects benefiting 30 communities, helping rural and underserved communities build safe and reliable transit services, protecting Ontario’s economy and connecting more people to jobs and opportunities across the province.
Our government’s historic $70 billion transit plan is creating good-paying jobs, connecting people to housing and strengthening local economies. As part of our broader plan to strengthen transportation across the province, we are doubling annual funding for the Ontario Transit Investment Fund (OTIF), restoring the Northlander passenger rail service and making targeted investments to improve transportation in rural and northern Ontario.
