Today, Minister Sarkaria announced that our government has signed a five-year, $1.3-billion contract extension with Alstom to continue operating and maintaining GO Transit and UP Express fleets.
This investment will help protect Ontario workers by supporting more than 1,100 good-paying jobs across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area over the next five years, while also delivering safe and reliable service for more than 120,000 daily riders.
