That’s why our government is taking action to help lower costs and make life more affordable for families across Eglinton–Lawrence and Ontario.
From reducing development charges to help lower the cost of building new homes, to removing the provincial portion of the HST on eligible new homes, we’re helping make homeownership more attainable. We’re also cutting costs for commuters through the One Fare Program, eliminating tolls on Highway 407 East, maintaining Ontario’s gas tax cut, increasing the minimum wage, and delivering direct financial support to workers, families, and seniors.
These measures are part of a broader commitment to protect Ontario’s economy, support working families, and ensure people can keep more of what they earn while navigating rising global economic uncertainty.
